In the News:

Breast cancer is the most common cancer overall afflicting women in Jordan.

Breast cancer is affecting younger aged Jordanian women than in Western countries.

Treatment of patients when breast cancer is at its earlier stages is generally less expensive and more successful than treatment during later stages of the disease. Not all cancers require chemotherapy.

Unfortunately many cases presented to medical professionals are already advanced and critical due to lack of early detection.

Breast Cancer Awareness is key to combatting the disease.

Heredity is one of the risk factors that affect your chances of getting cancer, but most women with breast cancer do not have a family history of the disease.

Knowing the risk factors may help you take preventative measures to reduce the chances of developing the disease.

Dr. Taji is interviewed on Jordanian television about the detection and treatment of breast cancer.
